Terms & Conditions

  1. All memberships, introductory or promotional offers and class passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be shared.
  2. Empower Studio makes every possible effort to deliver classes and private services on time as advertised. However, the schedule is subject to change or cancellation without notice, due in part or in full, to any or all circumstances, whether expected/anticipated or otherwise. Empower Studio is not liable to refund, transfer or offer compensation of any kind for classes or appointments that are late, changed, full or cancelled for any reason. Furthermore, Empower Studio reserves the right to temporarily reduce/alter and/or cease its service(s) at any time during any calendar year. Under normal operation, this pertains to any or all NZ public holidays, environmental/health and/or any other unexpected events.
  3. Intro/Promo offers; All Introductory and/or promotional offers/memberships are activated on the date of sale and are valid for the stated period of time at the point of sale (ie, 1 month). They are available to all newcomers (unless stated otherwise at the point of sale) to Empower Studio and purchasable only once. 
  4. All Memberships, intro offers and class passes allow the owner access to all standard weekly classes. This excludes; guest teachers, workshops, retreats or other special events.
  5. Fixed Term Memberships; All fixed term or annual memberships (3/6/12 months) are valid for the stated period of 3, 6 or 12 months. Memberships have a flexible start date activated on the date of the first class booking/attendance after the point of sale unless specified otherwise by the purchaser at the point of sale, i.e. by choosing a specific start date. All fixed term or annual memberships (3/6/12 months) can be placed on hold for a minimum period of 1 month and for a maximum period of 2 months during any 12 month period. Exceptional circumstances notwithstanding such as hospitalisation or serious injury. Please request in writing to enable this facility a minimum of 10 days before the required hold period. Any monies scheduled to be paid during the 10 day cancellation period will be debited according to the agreed contract at the point of sale.
  6. Monthly D/D Memberships; All new monthly D/D (standard monthly and Platinum) memberships at Empower Studio are contracted for an initial period of 30 days. Thereafter, we require 10 days notice in writing of cancellation. Memberships are activated on the day of purchase unless specified otherwise, i.e. during promotional offers or by the client selecting a membership start date during the point of sale. All D/D memberships can be placed on hold for a minimum period of 1 month and for a maximum period of 2 months during any 12 month period. Exceptional circumstances notwithstanding such as hospitalisation or serious injury. Please request in writing to enable this facility a minimum of 10 days before the required hold period. Any monies scheduled to be paid during the 10 day cancellation period will be debited according to the agreed contract at the point of sale.
  7. Single and multiple class passes; Single class passes are valid for 1 month from the point of sale and must be used in that time frame otherwise they will expire. Multiple class passes are valid for 3 months (10 class pass) and 5 months (20 class pass). All class passes have a flexible start date and are activated by the client on the date of the first class booking/attendance after the point of sale unless specified otherwise by the purchaser at the point of sale, i.e. by choosing a specific start date. Please take note of the expiration date, clients assume the responsibility for their pass validity and can always enquire at reception or via email at; info@empowerstudio.co.nz to verify if unsure. Multiple (10/20) class passes may be extended for medical reasons only. It is the clients’ responsibility to notify the studio in writing via email at; info@empowerstudio.co.nz at the time of illness/injury, and if necessary a letter from the doctor or physician may be requested. 1-month membership purchases are not extendable.
  8. Workshops & Events; All workshops, events and programmes deposits and/or full payments (whichever is applicable) are non-refundable but are transferable with prior notification no later than 3 days before the event.
  9. Workshops, events and programmes deposits and/or full payments (whichever is applicable) are due within 7 days of the emailed request by Empower studio. Empower Studio reserves the right to leave the clients reservation as ‘open’ and unsecured until payment is made. 
  10. Private appointments; All private appointment schedules are to be adhered to wherever reasonably possible. Calendar invites will be sent via email prior to every appointment for the client to accept (unless the client wishes not to give out their email address). The appointment is confirmed by us during scheduling and deemed valid immediately. In the event of a private appointment reschedule/cancellation then the following applies; rescheduling/cancellation of all private appointments (prepaid or otherwise) is to be made a minimum of 24hrs prior to scheduled visit. In such cases, the appointment will be rescheduled at no extra cost at the nearest convenience to Empower Studio’s availability. Please note, we cannot guarantee to reappoint within the same calendar week. Should the appointee not adhere to and reschedule/cancel outside of these terms and conditions of usage they will forfeit their private appointment and will be charged according to the value of the service as dictated at the point of sale.
